New Zealand Nationals are being held in Wellington at the Westpac Stadium (or as we call it, The Cake Tin). We’ve been so lucky to have an awesome fight trainer at our Dojo who’s been training us over the past 6 weeks and we’re still 8 weeks out. As we get closer to the tournament date, I’ll start posting our training regime starting with week one. As much as I would love to share our training secrets now, it’s best we keep it under the covers.
P.S. I would love to stream the Nationals LIVE on Youtube. I’ll keep you updated.
All fighters are looking good, healthy, focused and confident.
I sparred with D again tonight, he’s picked up on my mid right mawashi and starting to dodge it unless he thinks I’m going for the head. We’re reading each other so well now so I think our fight trainer will most likely stop pairing us up soon.
So we tapped one of our sessions and I was so annoyed at myself. My kicking has become powerful and I like that but the technique is really bad. I use to have really nice technique, lost a little power but I was fine with that, it looked “flash” and in Seido, that’s good I guess.
For the next 3 weeks, I’m going to really concentrate on stretching and work on my technique… I’ll lose a little power but yea…
Anyways, I hope your all training hard and staying healthy…
